MTECHTIPS;-Natural Gas Price Prediction – Prices Whipsaw but Volatility Remain Elevated

MTECHTIPS-Natural gas prices continued to whipsaw declining by more than 7% on Tuesday. There was news that a least one hedge fund declared bankruptcy following last weeks surge in prices. The 18% one day price rise generate a short-squeeze for the ages. Cold than normal weather is expected to cover most of the United States for both the next 6-10 and 8-14 days.  This should increase heating demand. With inventories well below the 5-year average range, prices could continue to remain elevated.Natural gas prices continue to whipsaw moving down on Tuesday by 7.8%, after rising by a similar amount on Friday. Last week prices whipsawed up and down, pushing volatility up to fresh 2018 highs. Support is seen near the 10-day moving average at 4.09. Resistance is seen near the November highs at 4.92. Momentum is neutral as the fast stochastic generated a crossover sell signal in the middle of the neutral range
